Jetro da Silva is a musician with a dual American and Brazilian citizenship. At only 16, Jetro was the sole supporter of his family, playing with world-renowned musicians, Episcopal Parish on Tijuca in Rio de Janeiro under Bishop Celso Oliveira and church Nova Vida da Tijuca in Rio da Janeiro under Bishop Marcio Alves.
After touring with several Brazilian artists, Jetro moved
to Boston to extend his music education at Berklee
College of Music, majoring in Music Production and Engineering.Jetro now holds
a position of Professor at the ensemble department at the prestigious Berklee
College of Music in Boston, Ma. Jetro's talent and professionalism keeps him as
one of high demand keyboardist in this country.
Jetro performed with Stevie Wonder at the
"House Full of Toys" fundraiser and with Whitney Houston at the
Winter Olympics in 2006, which was held in Turin, Italy. In 2009, Jetro da
Silva performed with his Jazz trio before President Barack Obama surprising visit for the Fundraiser event for to
Boston Governor Patrick. In 2010, Jetro performed with Ms. Whitney Houston as her
keyboardist and guitar player for Whitney Houston at the "Nothing but Love World Tour." Da Silva joined Ms. Houston musical family in 1999. Most recently, Da Silva recorded with Mr. Raul Midon.
Jetro's experience, training as keyboardist/producer/arranger has increased his opportunity to work with people such as: Whitney Houston, Jamie Foxx, Patti Labelle, Pastor Andrae Crouch, Earth Wind and Fire, Chaka Khan, The Pointer Sisters, Gladys Knight, Brandy, Sheila E., Namie Amuro, Bonnie Raitt, Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, Kem, Celine Dion, Patti Austin, Emilio Santiago, Monica, Mary Mary and many others.
