In this context, particularly important collaborations have been established with Italy's most renowned Universities as Padua, Milan, Pisa, Bologna and Genova and with other International institutes for joint research projects. As of today, Generalmusic exports to more than 80 countries around the world.

Generalmusic's brand name GEM has always been synonymous for technological innovation in the field of electronic pianos and keyboards. Ever since the enormous success of the WS model, GEM has been inspiring both the professional and the aspiring artist, by applying innovative and revolutionary ideas to their instruments. There are many industry standards that have been created by GEM: take the high quality music libraries, which were developed thanks to the creative vision and drive of GEM. The revolution of this concept has resulted in the successful integration of multimedia information being received directly from the instrument. Essential parameters for musical performances like song lyrics, chords or melodies in music notation have become an integral part of the data controlled within the keyboard itself. The consumer now perceives all these GEM WX innovations as standard specification requirements for any quality product. GEM has also pushed the innovation boundaries by the integration of computer components ancillaries, such as hard disk technologies. This has given the musician even more freedom and control over his musical performance. Finally, in our Genesys keyboard, we were able to bring to market the first truly integrated multimedia workstation by incorporating, a cd-rom burner. This Industry 'revolution' represents an innovative leap towards the goal of a completely self-contained instrument for total creative and musical control.

Yellowtools
www.yellowtools.com

The company yellow tools was found in 1999 by Drazen Vlahovic and Christian Hellinger in Karlsruhe, Germany.

The goal was and still is to record acoustic instruments and make them available in hard- and software samplers - keeping up the natural sound and character of the instruments. The first products of the company yellow tools were Sampling CD-ROM. With the yellow tools "Pure Series" it succeeded to realize a so far unachieved degree of authenticity of sample based instruments.
Since the existing samplers could not meet the musical demand of the yellow tools developers already after a short time, we decided already in 2001 to expand the field of activity by the yellow tools software development division. This way the Modular Virtual Instruments were born- short MVIs - and were released for the first time in 2003 with the percussion instrument Culture. 2004 the second release followed with the bass instrument Majestic.
By the outstanding quality of the samples and their integration into a software environment with highest musical requirements, yellow tools was already established internationally after shortest time. The result of this fast ascent to one of the most renowned Sound Design companies were licensing projects and co-operations with several companies of the music industry (see "projects").

In order to guarantee still the very high quality standard despite the rapid rise of the spectrum yellow tools offers today, we consequently built up an innovative and efficient team over the last years.
The departments of recording, sound design, software development, composing, research & development as well as the entire range of the administration and the support center are united under one roof. To extend the recording capacities this department this was expanded to meanwhile three external high end recording studios.

Today the yellow tools team consists of sound engineers, sound designers, software developers, designers, composers and musicians who all work hard for only one goal:

to continue setting new standards within the range of Virtual Instruments!

Applied-Acoustics

Inspired by musical acoustics research done for their doctor's degrees, Marc-Pierre Verge and Philippe Dérogis founded Applied Acoustics Systems in 1998. Starting a musical acoustics company was a natural move for the two. Musicians themselves, Verge plays the flute and Dérogis plays the trumpet and piano. Founding Applied Acoustics Systems allowed them to combine artistic interests with their scientific backgrounds to create a unique business.

Verge, a physicist, and Dérogis, a mathematician, studied acoustics to utilize their backgrounds in science and music. A specialization in musical acoustics allowed them to use the laws of physics to study the ways musical instruments function.
